💡 If you want to compare just 2 products using the price per liter, just delete the price of the one listed in milliliters. It will be ignored in the calculation. This also works for any other comparison between 2 products.

How to Convert Volumes to Compare Prices per Liter

If you want to learn how to do these calculations, take a look at the following information.

To properly compare price per liter, all products need to be in the same unit. Liters (L) are the standard, so the best approach is to convert everything to liters or milliliters (ml). Here’s how:

✅ Converting 500 ml to Liters:

● We know that 1 liter = 1000 ml

● So:

 500 ml ÷ 1000 = 0.5 L

Result: 500 ml is equal to 0.5 liters

✅ Converting 3.8 Liters to Milliliters:

● We know that 1 liter = 1000 ml

● So:

 3.8 L × 1000 = 3800 ml

Result: 3.8 liters is equal to 3800 ml

💡 Formula

These conversions help you accurately calculate and compare the price per liter using the formula:

Price per liter = Price / Quantity in liters

If your quantity is in milliliters, divide the price by the number of milliliters to get the cost per milliliter, then multiply by 1000 to convert it to cost per liter:

Price per liter = (Price / Quantity in ml) x 1000
